| Project Type: Web Development Client: fidesCapital Project Description: Web Site Development of an information site for a Veture Capital Company. Background: FidesCapital is a Midwestern venture capital firm. They were formed in 1999 and sought a web site to pattern their print corporate image. A strong print identity for fidesCAPITAL had been designed by the graphic designer's at Western Robidoux. Fide's corporate identity materials and logo consisted of a screened back version of a sculpture of the goddess Fides combined with typography. The look of the new printed materials was to be translated to the web to give fidesCapital a solid consistent web and print presence. Project Goals: (1) To create a web site that reflects the design of the current printed corporate look and feel; (2) Confer basic information about the newly formed company and create a user interface the can be expanded to reflect the client's growing business. TooBaRoo Solution: TooBaRoo sliced the large logo into pieces that were better suited to web download constraints. A more varied color scheme was adopted to add variety to the pages. The text portion of the logo was used to create the navigation graphics and web page section headers. In addition, two versions of the site were created one for older browsers and one that for newer browsers. |
